Volunteering at AMCIS 2022 is a great way to get involved with the association, network with colleagues, and build a better working knowledge of academic conferences.

Volunteer opportunities for AMCIS 2022 are described below. Volunteers are required to work a total of 15 hours during the conference in exchange for a complimentary AMCIS 2022 registration. Volunteers will not work more than 15 hours during the conference, leaving ample opportunity to network and participate in conference activities. The complimentary registration includes all group meals and coffee breaks, access to paper sessions when not volunteering, and access to exhibitors. Volunteers must be fluent in oral and written English.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

Any doctoral student may apply for a volunteer position.  Participation as an AMCIS volunteer requires AIS membership and a commitment of 15 hours in exchange for a free conference registration.   Those in early stages of their doctoral education may find this opportunity especially valuable; it is a great introduction to AMCIS and the field of IS.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for a volunteer opportunity during AMCIS 2022, the volunteer application will be open in the coming weeks.

Please note, this is an application for the opportunity to volunteer. Volunteer positions are not guaranteed, and assignments are made based on schedule, need and the number of submissions.  All volunteers should be well-organized, friendly, and fluent in both oral and written English.

For volunteer inquiries, please contact Aretha Wright at Aretha@aisnet.org.
